I'll overwhelm 'serious fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really going ahead.
